I woke up to sunshine and Laney resting next to me. The last couple of nights have been cool as some northern Canadian wind has descended upon us. It has been great sleeping weather. The days have been mild with highs of 70 degrees. It is beautiful spring weather. I can hear lawn mowers in the distance.
My mind is at peace now as for the first time in three years we don't have to worry about doctor office visits. I am so happy my husband has a break. We have graduated to a six month check up. We both are like school children on summer break. We are looking for adventure. I almost feel like the days are not long enough and I don't want to see summer go by quickly. We sat last evening on our front porch pondering what we are going to do.
I think we feel like two people who have been released into society and have forgotten how to act. It is almost a scary feeling sometimes not knowing how others are going to respond to us. I am excited to find out. Let the fun begin.
First event on the list is our 33rd Wedding Anniversary this coming Saturday. It is hard to believe that the years have flown by. We have known each other for 37 years. I hope for many more. So, our first adventure is the zoo. Laugh if you may, but we love the zoo and that is where our life together began. We were visiting our relatives. LOL! They must have approved of us, because we are still together walking hand in hand.
