Life Is Beautiful

The Angel Oak is one of  the oldest oak trees in the country. Some say it is more than  500 years old.  It is located on Johns Island in South Carolina and I had the privilege of seeing it a couple of years ago. It is so impressive with its long limps growing upward and then dipping downward to the ground.   It is in a peaceful place at what seemed to be in the middle of no where spectacular.  It made me think of how much we should cherish our life. The tree has been tested over time by many storms and acts of nature and it still stands proudly as visitors snap pictures of it and enjoy its unique beauty.

I walked away from the Angel Oak with a feeling that we are only as strong as we believe we are. We die when we stop living. Sometimes we get stuck in a rut and we are into what seems to be a comfort zone.  Stepping out is scary and yet it gives us a reason to keep living.  The people that enjoy life keep stepping out of comfort.  They are living  everyday moving towards their dreams.  They are not letting the storms in their life stop them.

It has been a busy summer enjoying our grandchild.  He reminds us everyday that life is really a miracle. We are still awaiting the arrival of grandchild number two who is has decided he is not ready to make his grand entrance into this world.  He is testing our patience as well as his mother and dad aa we wait for another miracle.

I  managed to loose eleven pounds and I can say that Haylie Pomroy's  meal plan works.  My husband lost weight too.  Together we feel a lot lighter and healthier.  We are feeling well and enjoying life.

My heart has wept for those people that have endured the wrath of hurricane season.  We can only pray and hope that they will have the strength to keep on living.

Life is beautiful!
