Forgetting The Past and Embracing Life

It is already September and summer is slipping away, but you can't tell by the weather.  It has been stinking hot this week.  The highs are reaching ninety plus with lots of humidity.  Yesterday we had a lot of pop up rain showers and it looks like we are about to have the same today.  A little steam bath for the complexion, helps with the wrinkles...LOL!  Laney is enjoying the air conditioning,  She is my spoiled and lovable companion.  The heat is too much for her.

The last couple of years my flowers looked great, but this year they have struggled to survive. I did neglect them somewhat,  as I was gone from home a lot.  My dad was the center of my attention for the past six weeks and the flowers were left to thrive on their own.  I did manage to keep his flowers looking great.  Now that my dad is feeling better and I am spending more time at home,  I hope that I can revive some of my flowers.  They are usually very pretty this time of the year.  All the rain in the spring and early summer caused some of my flowers to rot at the roots, and now they are frying from the heat.  Some of them have managed to thrive and they are beautiful.  I hope I can keep them into October, as they love cool weather.  No flowers for winter is an unpleasant thought.  I will definitely buy bouquets of flowers for inside the house.

The past is gone and the difficult times that none of us want to live through do come to an end.  The future is today and life is beautiful.  I feel free living in this very moment and enjoying time with my family and friends.  The past can't hurt you when you realize that you don't have to relive it.  You have the power to decide to live happily ever after and allow your dreams to come true.  This past year has been life changing and I feel very much at peace.  Flowers are surely smiles from God.

Life is beautiful !!
