Storms Are Leaving Texas With a Wet Memorial Day

Memorial Day weekend is not turning out to be pleasant for everyone.  After watching the evening news I was shocked to see that devastating storms are dropping large amounts of rain across the state of Texas.  I am sending prayers to my Texas family and friends in hope that you are all safe.  I hate to say it, but the weather here has been beautiful with highs in the low 80's and sunny skies.  The wind has been picking up this afternoon as the storms are moving north east across the country.  We will be getting some rain storms by tomorrow afternoon.  It would not be Memorial Day without the rain.

Despite the weather we still honor those who have served this country and died while in the armed services.  God bless them all.

I will be remembering our service men who protect our country everyday and celebrate the beginning of the summer season.  We will be surrounded by all of our children and my dad as we kick off the season with the annual corn hole tournament.  We will be having many a get together with family this summer, and all year we will celebrate life everyday.

It has already been a busy weekend as we were up early yesterday planting flowers in the front beds.  Flowers are to me a symbol of the beauty of life.  They are beautiful to look at and taking care of them is healthy exercise.  I am out everyday taking care of my flowers.  The garden was planted two weeks ago and everything is growing.  We are feeling very grateful for life, love and happiness.

I hope where ever you are on Memorial Day that you are safe and enjoying life.

For love of country they accepted death....James A. Garfield

Life is beautiful !!
