On The BLitz

I have not posted anything for awhile because my computer was on the blitz and my brain. The last several months have been busy helping my husband. He is in remission and Laney and I are very grateful. Now as I look at life and wonder if anything will ever be normal again, I realize it was never really normal from the start. I wonder what Laney thinks. I made a tough decision to send her home with family and wondering everyday if she thinks I abandoned her. We thought it would be a good idea so she could run and play,as it has been a little bit confining here. But I have been told she has sat by a door staring, hopefully in anticipation of our return. I have read stories of dogs traveling many miles to find there owners. I guess no matter how confining the place, security and being loved means more. As I anticipate returning to our original destination, I can only hope that when I open the door Laney is there. Maybe she'll think life is back to normal or just feel loved.

A Bow Wow Thank You From Laney

I have often wondered if Laney could talk what she would say about this journey to help my husband.  But since she has no voice I'll have to speak for her.  Here is what she would like to say...  Thank you to all our friends and family for all the prayers, giving us daily walks to the mailbox to retrieve greeting cards, the phone calls, e-mails, funny jokes, care packages, and love that was sent in many ways.  We are forever grateful and blessed to have such a wonderful friends.  You have proven that the power of prayer has given us strength to to face difficult moments in our life.

Also Laney and we would like to thank our care team at Md Anderson for without them this journey could not have happened.  Thank you to our doctor for caring about us and your commitment to research and a cure for Lymphoma. Thank you to all the nurses who have helped us and cheered my husband on. And, also a heartfelt thanks to everyone at Md Anderson that took moment to listen to us, give us a hug or give us encouragement.   We can truly say that what you give away in life will come back to you.  We are living that blessing right now.   We hope to continue to give in any way we can and Laney will be right by our side as we continue to live each day to its fullest.  So to everyone bow wow from Laney.   She is happy that you cared so much about her master.
