Say it isn't so! We are living with a virus that just won't go away. My husband and I always dreamed about what life would be when we were free to travel and be empty nesters. We never dreamed we would have to learn how to live with Covid-19. We were feeling good about having our vaccines and knowing that are chances of dying from the virus were less, but we still run the chance of getting the delta variant. We have stepped up our precautions again and masking up when out in crowed areas. The thought of me getting ill again from covid-19 has left a memory of great disdain from last year's two episodes. I believe the virus has left me with some long term side effects.
Life goes on and I wish that people refusing the vaccine would see things differently. I do know some people that have gotten the virus again after vaccine. They were not hospitalized and they may have felt awful. BUT THEY ARE ALIVE!
I think the driving force for us not to give up is our grandchildren. They are so darn cute and funny and they think we are the greatest. Life seems to go on for them and I hope since they are young that they will have very little recollection of this virus when they are older. I hope by next year at this time we can all rest and breathe a little easier.
The time has come for all of us to be unselfish and do our part to change the world. Get vaccinated and wear a mask to save your life and all the people in your life.
Life is Beautiful !!
