Happy St. Patrick's Day 2016

It has been a beautiful sunny day to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.  That Irish blood of mine is going to celebrate this beautiful day.  I was full of energy this morning, as I always am when the sun is shinning.  I am wearing green and waiting for my husband to arrive home for some Irish stew and a green beverage.  Hope wherever you are that the luck of the Irish is with you.

I have taken some time off from writing to enjoy life.  Sometimes we just need to take care of our self and enjoy the peacefulness of life.  After a long busy and difficult time taking care of my dad, I thought I would cherish the quiet moments.  My dad is enjoying life and feeling great.  He will be celebrating another birthday soon and he seems very happy.

I can say for myself that I feel great too.  I hibernated during January and February and this March I decided to get myself moving.  My husband and I have started walking again.  There maybe some walk-a-thons in our future.  I needed to shed my winter weight and it is going bye-bye.   I need to get ready for flip flops and shorts.

Spring seems to be here early as the trees are budding the grass is green.  I will be planting pansies soon.   We are going to have a cold weekend, but that is to be expected here in the north.  I am anxious for those hot slumber days of summer.  We all need our Vitamin D.

We attended the LLS conference last week.  It was very well presented by some nice doctors.  We were happy to see all the new drugs and therapies that have come about in the last three years.   The future looks optimistic and we are very grateful for all the new research.

The other good news is that MD Anderson has partnered with our local Premier Health.  I feel that god listened when I said I wanted all cancer patients to get exceptional care.  Our voice is heard when we have the courage to speak.   It was a stressful journey to today, but the good things make the future very bright.

Now aside from all good things if only our presidential candidates would stop insulting each other and tell us how they are going to make America great.  On with show and never a dull moment.

Life is Beautiful !!!
