Laney passed away in Febuary of 2017. This blog and her legacy live on. She gave me courage to talk about how the medical field affected our family. She gave me a purpose to write. Forever she will be in my heart.

Christmas Miracles!
This has truly been a day of joy and miracles that Laney and I will cherish forever. We received some wonderful gifts that included precious pictures, thoughtful words and actions that will forever be in our hearts. First my son presented me with a collage of pictures of he and his girlfriend and right in the middle is a picture of my Laney. Then, my daughter gave me a beautiful framed picture of she and my new son-law. But, my husband tried to top it all by recopying some of my blog postings and framing them. And, then I proudly showed my dad the pictures and one of the blog postings called the Symphony. As he began to read it he realized that it was he who had introduced me to the symphonies and his face was overcome with emotion. That moment in time meant so much to me and although he did not say much his facial expression was worth a lifetime of love. I realized that these moments in time were all started by my dad. But, who is to say which gift is the best. I say it's a combination of all of them that has made this a day to cherish forever. So, Laney and I are grateful for these special moments that remind us that family is our miracle in life. Amen and glory to God.
